Health Programming

Promoting Holistic Health and Wellness

GCC’s Health Program focuses on advancing the physical, mental, and reproductive well-being of youth with disabilities living in informal settlements.

Through tailored initiatives in Sexual and Reproductive Health (SRH), Mental Health, Gender-Based Violence (GBV) prevention, and HIV awareness, the program addresses barriers to health access.

By leveraging partnerships with local health providers and advocates, GCC ensures that youth with disabilities are equipped with accurate information, essential services, and a safe space to discuss their health needs without stigma.

Empowerment Through Inclusive Health Education

At GCC, health is seen as a foundation for empowerment and independence. The program offers training, peer-to-peer counseling,
and community outreach to build awareness and reduce discrimination in health settings.
These efforts enable youth with disabilities and their caregivers to make informed decisions, access support systems,
and break cycles of silence around sensitive health topics. By integrating health education into all program areas,
GCC fosters a thriving, informed, and resilient community.
