Network of Youth with Disabilities

Overview

The Gifted Community Center (GCC) serves as the national host of the Network of Youth with Disabilities in Kenya and is the 2025 Co-chair and Africa Regional Representative of the Commonwealth Children and Youth Disability Network. The Network brings together youth with disabilities, disability-led organizations, and students with disabilities from colleges and universities across Kenya to champion disability inclusion and social change.

Through advocacy, leadership development, research, and capacity building, GCC empowers young persons with disabilities with the knowledge, confidence, and skills needed to influence decision-making processes at both county and national levels. The Network serves as a strong and credible voice on issues affecting youth with disabilities while promoting meaningful participation in Kenya’s development agenda.

Through its extensive networks, GCC has grown to more than 10,000 members and has directly and indirectly impacted over 20,000 persons with disabilities across the country.
